What is Walnut Hills Retreat?

Walnut Hills Retreat is a not-for–profit, 501-C-3, tax exempt, Christian camp ministry. A volunteer Board of Directors formulates the policies, approves the budget and develops long-range plans. Members of the Board represent a wide geographical and occupational spectrum. They are all active members in good standing in their local churches. The Executive Director is Rev. Bruce A. Tippetts who has founded two camp ministries and has been in camp ministry for 30 years. Walnut Hills Retreat has been an active member of Christian Camping International since 1984.

How is Walnut Hills Retreat Supported?

Walnut Hills Retreat is an outreach ministry that is financially supported as a home mission by many churches and individuals. Financial gifts provide essential benefits to our campers. Camper’s fees do not cover the entire cost of their stay with us. Many campers come from low income and/or non-Christian homes and would not be able to attend without a scholarship. New programs, building projects and equipment purchases are acquired through special financial gifts. Full-time staff raise their own missionary support.

Every year we serve thousands of campers and hundreds make various spiritual decisions that count for eternity. The continued success and growth of W.H.R. depends on the help of many. Please choose our vital outreach as a part of your churches and personal missions giving. Here are several ways you can help.
