Walnut Hills Retreat Policies

Camp Guidelines

• Tobacco products, alcohol, and illegal drugs are not permitted on WHR property.
• No pets.
• WHR staff will provide materials for campfires at fire pits.
• Fireworks, sparklers, and fire arms are prohibited
• Food, Drinks, and snacks are permitted in dining area only.
• Please park in designated areas only.
• A life guard is required to supervise anytime anyone is swimming at the pool.
• Linens are not provided except in the private rooms.
• Ice is provided by the bag for a nominal charge.

Policy

• WHR reserves the right to book another group simultaneously if capacity allows.
• A final guest count and general schedule of the retreat should be submitted to WHR no later than 10 days prior to the scheduled retreat.
• The group sponsor accepts the responsibility of communicating all rules and guidelines to the entire group.
• All groups will provide proof of liability insurance.
• Payment is due before your group leaves camp. Please make one check payable to Walnut Hills Retreat.  We are sorry we are unable to accept credit cards at this time.
• Your deposit and signed contract will secure your reservation.
• Many groups book a year in advance -- especially in the summer and fall seasons.
• A retreat planning guild is available.

Deposits

Deposit Due: $650.00 per group reservation for Lodge and or Gym sleeping accommodations, or $300.00 per group reservation of the mission center facilities.

 

Disclaimer of Liability

The undersigned party will be responsible for any damage done to the camp property, buildings and equipment by their group. The undersigned will also take responsibility to abide by Camp policies and give adult supervision to all participants. Any damage done will be paid for prior to leaving Camp.

The undersigned, realizing the prohibitive costs of insurance and in consideration of Walnut Hills Retreat’s providing recreation facilities for the undersigned, agrees, for the entire group to hold harmless Walnut Hills Retreat, Inc. and their staff from any and all liability that arises for the use of the premises and its facilities. We further agree to hold harmless and indemnify Walnut Hills Retreat from and for any cases that might arise as a result of their use of the facilities. Walnut Hills Retreat and its staff, agents and representatives are not responsible for any injuries sustained as a result of participation in any Camp sponsored activities or while using any Camp facilities.

The undersigned agrees to provide a Certificate of Insurance, acknowledging that he/she has their own insurance coverage. The undersigned signatory to the agreement further acknowledges Walnut Hills Retreat’s Disclaimer of Liability for such use.

We agree to abide by the terms of this contract with Walnut Hills Retreat. This is a legal document and binds the signer and his/her organization to the terms stated herein. Your signature here indicates that all parts of this contract (including the Walnut Hills Retreat polices) have been carefully read, comprehended and accepted.
